Chia Hue Siew (Ms)

Ms Chia Hue Siew graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 1987 with a law degree and was called to the Singapore Bar in 1988. Upon graduation, she worked with a law firm handling general commercial litigation work before joining the Housing and Development Board as a Legal Officer for approximately 5 years.

In 1994, in line with her desire to gain exposure in the private sector, Ms Chia held a position as a Company Secretary/ Legal Officer with a company in a transportation sector. Despite her heavy work responsibilities, she was able to juggle her work and studies so efficiently such that she obtained her Masters of Law from NUS in 1998.

Shortly after, Ms Chia decided to go back to legal practice and joined a leading Singapore law firm where she handled a range of corporate work which included providing corporate secretarial services to a portfolio of more than 80 local and foreign companies, advising clients on the regulatory framework of Singapore, participating in projects such as the setting up a charitable trust and drafting of documents for start-up companies.

At LAWHUB LLC, Ms Chia draws from her corporate experience to support the conveyancing department. She is able to view things from a different perspective, often covering angles which her colleagues may have overlooked. Her current work responsibilities include drafting agreements and negotiation for enbloc matters and the sale and purchase of commercial, industrial and residential properties.
