Ms Rita Chew is a specialist in real estate law.

A graduate of National University of Singapore called to the bar in 1987, Ms Chew formed her own legal practice in 1991. Prior to taking this plunge, she has worked in both a medium sized boutique law firm as well as a large branded practice.

As a result of her experience, Ms Chew discerns issues from a wide perspective. Her commercial acumen enables her to appreciate her clients’ business objectives and concerns.

At the law corporation, she handles complex and high-value real estate transactions. They include development projects, commercial and industrial properties, enbloc sales, land sales and acquisitions. Her current clientele includes corporations and high net-worth individuals.

In 2010, Ms Chew was invited by the Law Society’s to sit on its Conveyancing Practice Committee where she has served for a year. One of the challenges this Committee faced was to assist in the implementation of new laws safeguarding client’s money when buying or selling real property.

As a director, she makes it her priority to take under her wings the younger lawyers. This has ensured the quality of service we provide to our clients.
